We are fortunate to have many GREAT candidates this year. We are looking forward to moving Central Kentucky more toward the Democrat side.
Please help us by getting to know our candidates, and spreading the word.
When DEMOCRATS WIN… the MIDDLE CLASS WINS!!
THANK YOU GOVERNOR BESHEAR
Kentucky’s ranking in the annual assessment of all states on key education indicators rose four places, making it 10th in the nation .
Each year, Education Week (a national publication that focuses on P-12 education) produces a special issue, “Quality Counts.” The report tracks key education indicators and grades states on their policy efforts and outcomes. Last year, Kentucky ranked 14th in the nation. In 2010, the state was in 34th place in this annual report. During Governors Beshear’s tenure we have climbed from the abyss where we used to say “Thank God for Mississippi”, otherwise we would be last…
“Kentucky is emerging as a national leader in education,” said Kentucky Education Commissioner Terry Holliday. “ The Governor’ policies have mapped the course with rigorous academic standards aligned to the demands of college and career; assessment and accountability that drives improvement; and a focus on educator training and effectiveness that results in greater student achievement and readiness.”
Governor Beshear’s policies and defense of education in the budgetary process are moving us in the right direction. Let’s keep on track and continue to support him by sending MORE DEMOCRATS to Frankfort.
